We dressed our wounds and took off.
We anticipated our landing,
the potential crash,
the downfall of it.
They all walked,
I could only watch.
Terrified at the window,
I had never been happier.
When they turned around
they forced some tears.
I looked back at home,
felt a feeling I'd never felt before.
It was alright,
nothing special.
Nothing like this.
I don't see a reason to go back,
we had everything we needed.
